Educational Projects

I have created various projects whether for classes or independent studies. These projects range from infographics, branding, and website redesign.

"What's Stealing Students' Sleep?" Infographic

This communication project uses a detailed infographic to illustrate issues of sleep deprivation among American college students and some of its causes such as inadequate sleep hygiene, alcohol, caffeine, technology and more.
The infographic uses design principles such as visual hierarchy, color, and original illustrations to help the reader better understand the prominence of such issues. Prestigious news publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Dallas Morning News use infographics in this style to illustrate complex stories.        This infographic was created using Adobe Illustrator after researching a mix of scholarly and popular sources.

Amazon Website Wireframe Redesign

Amazon2.png

This redesign of the Amazon Home Page and Interior Cart Page was created because the current Amazon website is extremely cluttered making it hard for users to navigate it easily.
This project was created as an independent study to address those issues.
This new design visually sections off each category with boxes and simplifies the content, so that whats most important is the easiest to find. The new design has a much better visual hierarchy and a few new additions meant to improve the users experience.

"JP" Personal Typographic Logo Branding

This typographic logo was created by combining the two letters "J" & "P" in a serif typeface. This logo emphasizes a bi-lateral serif at the top of the "JP". It was chosen to be published as a semifinalist in an international design magazine, Creative Quarterly.
